FutureMakers Coalition Organizational Partnership Agreement

The FutureMakers Coalition consists of community stakeholders focused on improving the quality of life and workforce readiness of citizens in the Southwest Florida (Hendry, Glades, Charlotte, Lee, and Collier counties) region. The mission of the Coalition spans a continuum from birth to workforce readiness or “cradle-to-career”. The Coalition strives to build and implement strategies and take action to facilitate widespread systemic change. The Coalition has the ultimate collective impact goal of transforming the workforce by increasing the number of postsecondary degrees, certificates, and other highquality credentials to 55%. Guiding the Coalition’s work are regional outcome groups, which mark milestones along a student’s path from cradle-to-career:

  • Kindergarten Readiness
  • Third Grade Reading
  • High School Graduation
  • Post-Secondary Enrollment
  • FAFSA Completion
  • Post-Secondary Student Support
    (Retention and Completion)
  • Career Support
  • Talent Retention
  • Support for Returning Adults
  • Workforce/Economy and Education
  • Alignment and Partnership
  • Equitable Outcomes

Each of these collective impact outcomes are influenced by the Coalition’s collaborative actions and tracked over time with specific, quantifiable metrics, including efforts to address the achievement gap and advance equity with a specific focus on racial, ethnic and income disparities. The FutureMakers Coalition has formed Action Teams at the project, county and regional levels comprised of coalition partners focused on making progress toward the outcomes related to these outcomes. Action Teams identify contributing factors influencing their designated collective impact outcomes and work together to find effective ways to positively impact those factors and goals. The FutureMakers Coalition is led by a regional, cross-sector guiding team and a backbone organization (the Southwest Florida Community Foundation) supports the activities of the Action Teams, helping to compile data and connect factors, assets and activities that influence the one collective impact goal and outcomes.

This Partnership Agreement outlines the shared expectations and commitments for the FutureMakers Coalition Partners engaged in one or more regional, county or project Action Team and is supplementary to the FutureMakers Coalition General Member Agreement.
