Collier and Lee County had the highest concentration (42 and 41 percent) of the responding businesses operating among the five southwest Florida counties.

Since summer 2021, Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), the Collaboratory and Florida SouthWestern State College have worked under the FutureMakers banner to reduce barriers for students who stopped out to return and finish what they started.
FutureMakers Coalition in Achieving the Dream. Since the Prioritizing Adult Community College Enrollment (PACCE) initiative began in late 2021, Achieving the Dream has worked with 20 colleges in eight states as they develop data-informed strategies to attract, support, and retain adult learners aged 25 and over.
