Spotlight: Kelly Thawley

Kelly Thawley is a FutureMaker who is involved with multiple organizations in the SWFL community and has given her time to the Coalition for over 6 years. She currently serves as a Co-Chair for the Access & Entry Team, co-leads the College & Career Action Team, and serves on the Aspiration & Preparation and Internship Teams. She also assists in planning and coordinating the annual Student Summit. Ms. Kelly Thawley is the Career Specialist, part of the Adult and Career Education Department team, for The School District of Lee County and oversees all work-based learning experiences within the K-12 system, including career exploration, job shadowing, On-the Job Training (OJT), and internships. She is passionate about connecting our students to local SWFL businesses, highlighting the multitude of opportunities within our community to encourage students to succeed, complete their education, and build their careers locally. Ms. Kelly Thawley is also deeply committed to inspiring young women to follow their dreams and fulfill their true potential, by serving on the Planning Committee for the LEAD Like a Girl program and as the Scholarship Committee Co-Chair with the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business Committee. Her commitment to education is also shown by her service to the Villas Educational, Literary, and Charitable Institution, Inc. as their Scholarship Committee Chair. Kelly thrives in situations where she can use her passions to fuel her work and believes collaboration can bring about real change in our community. She looks forward to continuing her work in education and would love the opportunity to connect even more students to our local business partners.
